Product maintenance

Preserving, caring for and passing on valuable items over generations is the credo of our GISELLE jewelry collection. Over time, however, the surfaces of gold, platinum and silver can become dull and lose their shine. To keep your jewelry gems looking like new, we recommend having them professionally cleaned once a year. This will preserve the high quality for generations to come.

You are welcome to send us an e-mail at support@gisellejewelry.com if you are interested in having your jewelry professionally cleaned.

925 Sterling Silver

With its mirror-like shine, sterling silver is one of the most beautiful components of fine jewelry. Maintain the beauty and character of your silver through regular care for years of enjoyment and shining eyes on the viewer.

When sterling silver is exposed to salty air or products containing sulfur, it tarnishes and loses its unique luster. The most effective way to prevent tarnishing is to wear the jewelry regularly. If cleaning is necessary after all, clean your silver by hand in warm water with a mild detergent. Dry the silver immediately with a soft cloth to avoid water spots and you will be able to enjoy the silvery shimmer of your jewelry again afterwards.

Our tip:
If you want to polish your silver, please use quality polishes. We also strongly recommend that you avoid electrolyte cleaning (aluminum foil, salt and baking soda dissolved in water).

Gold

Even valuable gold jewelry wants to be cared for. For example, gold is very sensitive to bleach. Contact with it can cause anything from color changes to decomposition. To preserve the warm gold shimmer of your valuable piece, clean your jewelry with water and mild detergent. To prevent your gold piece from being damaged or even lost, it is a good idea to regularly check the locking mechanisms and connecting pieces.

If you are not wearing your jewelry at the moment, treat it to a solid and exclusive place to store it.
